The OnePacs worklist, and other features of OnePacs, may be accessed through web browsers on a variety of mobile devices.

Given several impediments to the clinical use of OnePacs on mobile devices, among these the absence of FDA- or CE- approved display devices, OnePacs should not be used clinically on mobile devices.

There are three primary ways of uploading studies to the OnePacs system.

DICOM c-store to a transmission computer (gateway)

This is the “workhorse” method of transmitting studies to OnePacs that will be used most commonly when studies are being transmitted directly from imaging modalities to the OnePacs system. In this method, a computer (gateway PC) is placed on a local imaging facility network, and the imaging modalities are configured to transmit studies directly to th…

Case access web links are a feature of OnePacs that makes it easy to share cases and reports with other individuals, whether or not such individuals have a OnePacs account.

A case access web link is created by right-clicking on a case and selecting the “Crease case access web link option”, as shown:

Basic Architecture Overview

Please refer to the system diagram for a basic overview of the OnePacs system.

The components of the OnePacs system include:

OnePacs Gateway

The Gateway is a PC on your local facility network which receives studies directly from modalities or from your PACS system, and forwards them to OnePacs. This is the means by which your facility sends studies to Onepacs.

The OnePacs system tracks certain events in a study's life cycle. If a user has the “View study history audit” permission, state changes, reporting events, case alerts, case access links, and other events can be viewed by right clicking on the case from the worklist and selecting the “Study Audit History” menu option.
